Adopt A PET
from the
Sullivan Pound

Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps! So far in 2023, our veterinary bills have totaled about $12,000. Your donations year round allow us to help with medical care beyond what the city covers. We can’t thank you enough for the support. ❤️

VETERINARY EXPENSES ONLY
What the city covers: Rabies vaccination for the cats and dogs over four months old. (City adoption fee goes towards that cost)
How Halo uses your donations (no funds from the city):
✅ Spay/neuter as many adult cats and dogs as possible before adoption
✅ Give adopters certificates to cover part of the cost of spay/neuter for the ones not able to be done prior to adoption.
✅ All other medical costs like medication for coccidia, tapeworms, hookworms, etc.
✅ Purchase Revolution, Frontline, distemper/parvo vaccines when possible
In 2023, we have had several more expensive medical cases than usual: Freya (stomatitis- most of her teeth removed) Connie Sue (heartworms) Marshall (lots of testing/medication before rescue transfer) Beethoven (severe wound on leg) Viola (eye injury resulting in eye removal)
